24th Annual Hula Hoike by Halau Hula 'O Leilani

An Annual Hula Ho'ike by Halau Hula 'O Leilani will be held today on Saturday, February 6 at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.

There will be Hawaiian Hula, Maori & Tahitian Dance & concert led by Kumu Leilani Rivera Low.

The Hawaiian word "Ho'ike" is usually used for the meaning of annual exhibition by Halau Hula (School of Hula).   And Kumu Leilani, students and parents have worked so hard for this annual biggest event.  I was nothing but a driver for my daughter but I spent lots of time just to take her to the stage and lesson four times a week!

Yesterday, rehearsal started at 6:00 p.m. and we came back home at 10:40 p.m.! but the practice for adults were still going on.

I'm sure tonight Ho'ike will be awesome and I'm also sure I'll take a lots of photos during the show!  This is our 5th Ho'ike and we are so glad we didn't quit!
